This week's topic for baseball is from the worst team in baseball today, and that team is the Tampa bay Rays. This year, their winning percentage is .394, by at the rate they are going at, they aren't alone. The Astros, Red Sox, Diamondbacks, Padres, Cubs, Phillies, and Mets are around where they are at. Also at the moment, if the postseason was tomorrow. In the east, the Blue jays and Royals would play. And the Tigers and Athletics wou play. In the west, the Brewers and Cardinals would play. Also the Giants and Braves would play. Also if I had tc pick the hottest player in the game for Homeruns and Batting average. I'd choose Giancarlo Stanton with 79 hits, 19 homeruns 56 RBIS scored 50 runs, and his batting average is .303. Even though he is 9th in the leagL in the NL league, he leads in homeruns. Anyway, the leader in pitching is Mark Buehrle on the Blue jays, whicl-is sort of the reason why the Blue Jays are one of the hottest teams in the league. One last story is that this week's leader in ERA is the Oakland Athletics with a ERA of 3.05, Well that's this week's Baseball news. Story by Robert.D
This year, the Stanley cup playoffs have been not been what people have expected at all, the fact that 4 #1 teams in all the divisions of the league couldn't make it to the conference finals is why I think this wasn't predicted. And in game 3, the Kings scored 3 unanswered goals and won the game giving them a 3-0 lead in the series. However, in game 4 the Rangers won 2-1 and got a few lucky bounces along the way. But in game 5, the Kings won the cup on home ice because of a good goal by Alec Martinez in double overtime. And the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy goes to Justin Williams who scores the most goals in the Finals. And the Kings have now won 2 Stanley cups in 3 Seasons. Story By Robert.D

Hi! I'm Nick.P and I'm here to talk about baseball. Our topic this week is the best tear in baseball. Now, of course when you think of the best team in baseball, the San Francisco Giants are what comes to mind. But with their great comeback this season, we must consider other teams that have done the same. All stats are from ESPN and the MLB Power Rankings. Let's start with the Giants. They have been on a downward spiral for the past couple years, but great pitching and some clutch offense have turned them back into the World Series champs that they were a couple years ago. The A's are not a surprise but their run differential is through the roof which could show a sign of a deep playoff run. The Blue Jays are living up to the hype from last year and Ryan Braun is helping the Brewers this year. The Angels are back and better then ever. The Tigers have responded well since the Prince Fielder trade and the Braves have been slowly finding ways to win games. The Nationals are doing the same as the Braves and will gain speed hopefully as the season goes on. The Mariners are gonna have to find ways other then King Felix to win because if they keep riding him like that he could get injured and Robby Cano can't do everything. The Dodgers have spark plugs and they have been electric. These are the top 10 according to ESPN Power Rankings. I think in the long run the A's will be the best team in the playoffs assuming no monumental collapses happen.
